dc.description.abstractThe research is done by doing interwiew with college students of Communication Science Department of Social Science and Politic Science Faculty, University of North Sumatera. Aims of this research are to know the self concept of student college in Instagram and factors that influence the positif self concept or negative self concept on using Instagram. As for theory that used in this research are psychology of communication, self concept, dimension of self concept, factor that influence self concept, new media, and Instagram. This research method is focus on qualitative descriptive study. The subject for this research are four college students whose active on using Instagram. The findings on this research show that sef concept of college student in Instagram is the positve self concept. Factors that influence the positive self concept are their self and from others by giving like, positive comment, and negative comment on their photo in Instagramen_US
