Nilai-Nilai Sosial pada Serial Drama Misaeng (Analisis Isi Muatan Nilai-Nilai Sosial Tayangan Serial Drama Korea Misaeng)

Abstract

The purposes of this research are to find out the scenes that contain social values and to find out the social values of Korean from the serial drama. Serial Drama Misaeng consists of 20 episodes, but researcher only analyzed 12 scenes taken from 10 episodes. These 12 scenes were selected by researcher because they are able to show the real depiction of social values in Korea. The theories were based on communications, mass communication, content analysis, social values, confucianism in Korean society and Korean drama. The method used is a qualitative content analysis research method with constructivism paradigm. The data analysis technique used is semantic content analysis. The results showed that the social values that exist in Korean society is still heavily influenced by Confucianism. Although the Confucianism is no longer dominates, but in some aspects Confucianism still affects the lives of the Korean people, especially in social and cultural fields. Confucianism also has an effect on social relationships and etiquette of Korean society.
