    Abstract
    SYAHRIL BANCIN: Effectiveness of Physical Form Rations Containing Cocoa Pod (Theobrama cacao L.) Fermentation (Aspergillus niger) carcass on Rex Rabbit Release Wean, under advices HAMDAN and NEVY DIANA HANAFI. Livestock rabbit is a commodity that can produce quality meat with high protein content. Feed is an important factor in the livestock business, balanced nutrition will result in higher meat production. Utilization of farm wastes such as cocoa pot into animal feed, decent thing to do because it is not competitive with human foodstuffs. Feed in the form of pellets have several advantages, namely: to increase palatability, waste can be reduced rations due to wastage, can streamline formula pelleted grain ration because each contains the same nutrients. The experiment was conducted at the Compos Center Jl. Biotechnology University Of North Sumatera Poss code: 20155, Medan. The study starts from July to Sebtember 2012, using non-faktorial randomized block design with 6 treatments and 2 groups, treatment consisted of two factors: the physical properties of food (mash and pellets) and fermented cocoa pod percentage (0%, 5%, and 10 % per treatment). Parameters observed body weight, carcass, carcass percentage and comersial slice (foreleg, rack, lion, hindleg). The results showed that mean body weigh 1880,50; 1923,50; 2000,50; 1985,00; 2070,00; 2014,00. Mean carcass 999,50; 1042,50; 1119,50; 1104,00; 2378,00; 1097,00. Mean carcass persentage 52,94; 53,70; 55,85; 55,46; 57,36; 54,41. Mean foreleg 150,50; 157,00; 169,00; 166,50; 179,00; 170,50. Mean rack 201,00; 209,50; 225,00; 222,00; 238,50; 227,50. Mean lion 374,00; 362,50; 389,00; 383,50; 413,50; 358,00. Mean hindleg 300,50; 313,50; 337,00; 332,00; 358,00; 341,00. The results showed that the effectiveness of the physical properties of ration containing fermented cocoa pod Aspergillus niger was highly significant terhadap body weight, carcass, carcass persentage, and comersial slice (foreleg, rack, lion, hindleg).
