Keberlanjutan Arsitektur Rumoh Aceh Pada Rumah Tinggal Di Aceh Besar, Studi Kasus : Gampong Lambheu

Abstract

The objective of this research was to find out and to identify the continuity of rumoh Aceh architecture in the development of houses in Aceh Besar in the period of 1980-2016 and some factors which influence it. The continuity is analyzed through mass and articulation, detail of architecture, aperture, material, the principle of façade structure, and its socio-cultural value. Observation was conducted directly on the residence by taking Gampong Lambheu as the object of the study. Interviews were conducted with the source persons that consisted of home owners and with those who had dwelled at Gampong Lambheu for more than 50 years to get the perception and opinion in finding the factors which influenced the continuity of architectural components of rumoh Aceh in the residence. The conclusion of the research shows that most of the components undergo continuity in the principle and in the form (above 50%). The architecture of rumoh Aceh which have undergone continuity in residence since 1980 up to the present are the articulation of enclosure (wall), openings and the position of windows, wood material in the window’s frame, roofing system (gable roof),repetition (basic form of the windows), building orientation, sociocultural value (the presence of seuramoe keu (in form of room for guests who pay a visit to the house), seuramoe likeut (in form of living room adjacent to the kitchen), and sleeping room for girls (daughters)), and ornament (only the motif of flora, geometrical, and motif of specific Acehnese traditional items). The factors which influence the continuity of the components of Aceh traditional architecture are being in accordance with the Islamic shari’ah (law) and with Acehnese culture. The continuity occurs as far as the architectural elements still support cultural, aesthetical, and climatic life. Another factor which plays an important role is financial capacity.

Penelitian ini berupaya menemukan dan mengidentifikasi keberlanjutan arsitektur rumoh Aceh pada perkembangan rumah tinggal Di Aceh Besar, dalam kurun waktu 1980-2016, serta faktor yang mempengaruhinya. Keberlanjutan dikaji melalui massa dan artikulasi, detail arsitektur, bukaan, material, prinsip susunan fasade, serta nilai sosiokulturalnya. Observasi langsung pada rumah-rumah tinggal dilakukan dengan mengambil Gampong Lambheu sebagai kawasan studi. Wawancara terhadap narasumber yang terdiri dari pemilik rumah dan narasumber yang telah tinggal di Gampong Lambheu selama lebih dari 50 tahun juga dilakukan untuk mengumpulkan persepsi dan opini dalam menemukan faktor yang mempengaruhi keberlanjutan komponen arsitektur rumoh Aceh pada rumah tinggal. Dari penelitian yang telah dilakukan ditarik kesimpulan bahwa sebagian besar komponen mengalami keberlanjutan (diatas 50%), yang berupa keberlanjutan prinsip dan bentuk. Arsitektur rumoh Aceh yang mengalami keberlanjutan pada rumah tinggal dari tahun 1980 hingga saat ini diantaranya: artikulasi bidang, bukaan dan posisi jendela, material kayu pada kusen, sistem atap (pelana), pengulangan (bentuk dasar jendela), orientasi bangunan, nilai sosiokultural (adanya seuramoe Keu (dalam bentuk ruang tamu), seuramoe likeut (dalam bentuk ruang keluarga dan berdekatan dengan dapur), dan kamar khusus anak perempuan), serta ornamen (hanya motif flora, motif geometris, dan motif benda khas Aceh). Faktor yang berpengaruh terhadap keberlanjutan komponen-komponen arsitektur tradisional Aceh adalah kesesuaian terhadap syariat agama Islam dan kesesuaian terhadap budaya masyarakat Aceh sendiri. Keberlanjutan terjadi sejauh elemen arsitektur tersebut masih mendukung kehidupan secara kultural, estetika, dan klimatika. Faktor lainnya yang cukup berperan adalah kemampuan finansial.
