Analisis Startegi Partai Aceh terhadap Pemenangan Pasangan Dr. Zaini Abdullah – Muzakkir Manaf pada Pemilukada Aceh 2012

Abstract

Local Election is a process of manifestation the democracy in regional levels in order to select the head of the region directly by the citizens to look for a leader that they want. In the implementation, the Local Election in Aceh province in 2012 was not only followed by the national political parties, but also followed by a local political party. Participation of local political parties in Aceh Election showed the prominent differences with the Local Election in other parts of Indonesia, where in other areas there are no rules that allow the participation of local parties in the Regional Election. Aceh Election in 2012 were won by dr. Zaini Abdullah and Muzakkir Manaf (ZIKIR). Interestingly, the pair was carried by the local party (Aceh Party) which known as a "newcomer" in the local democratic party in Aceh. Moreover, their competitors are incumbent on the previous local Election for governor who was carried by the GAM (Aceh Party embryo). In the participation in Aceh Election 2012, the Aceh Party certainly has a particular strategy for their winning candidates. This research used descriptive methods, using interviews and literature to find out how the strategy that was adopted in the Aceh Party to won ZIKIR. The results that obtained from this study is the victory of Aceh Party which carries ZIKIR in Aceh Election 2012, did not escape from the image of figure Mualem (Muzakkir Manaf) as the figure that best represents the struggle of the Free Aceh Movement (GAM) and the figures are considered able to beat Irwandi Yusuf popularity.
