Abstract

This research analyze about the forms of support mutually beneficial Community Organizations with prospective members of the DPRD Medan City Electoral District 2 on the legislative elections of 2014. The Legislative elections of 2014 showed there has been a consolidation of democracy obstacles the local level. These obstacles occur because transactional form entwined between legislatives candidates with of figures of community organizations in the City of Medan. Two organizations of the most known the public of the medan city namely Pemuda Pancasila and Ikatan Pemuda Karya the actively in the elections activity into one of the sound sources can be obtained for prospective members of the legislature who compete in the 2014 election. The theory used in this research is The Theory Local Bossism John T. Sidel used to analyze behavior of groups the community organizations in the City of Medan in providing support to one candidate member of DPRD from electoral district 2 at the time of the 2014 elections. The concept of Local Strongmen by Joel Migdal used to analyze a person or a group of people who have influence over a region. The research method used was qualitative research method with descriptive data analysis techniques. Technique the data collection was done with the methods interview and study literature. In the case of legislative elections 2014 in the city of Medan, compartmentalized the public by community organizations and the existence of large numbers of members spread across the city of Medan utilized by legislative candidates to add vote. Coupled with the absence of any provision which could limit the participation of community groups undemocratic including behaviors Democrats and interest groups. Form of support mutually beneficial between legislatures candidates of electoral 2 medan city with community organizations at elections 2014 is by way transactional or using money to get the vote.
