Pengaruh Keberadaan PT Toba Pulp Lestari Tbk terhadap Perekonomian Masyarakat dan Lingkungan di Kecamatan Porsea kabupaten Toba Samosir

Abstract

Industrial Development Forest Crop Pulp is one of the peripatetic activity in the field of forestry, one of the effort to support pulp industry is to improve the availibility of raw material by developing instructed Industrial Forest Crop as source of industrial raw material. Enterpasing of this aim Industrial Forest Crop to to support industrial development result of domestic forest utilize to improve added value and foreign exchange, improving farm productivity and environment quality and also extend field or employment of is effort. Research influence existence PT. Toba Pulp Lestari Tbk. to economics of society and environment in District of Porsea executed Sub-Province Toba Samosir in January until March 2005. Target of this reseafgh is to know contribution existence of PT. Toba Pulp Lestari Tbk. to absorb labour, opportunity creation of earnings of society, influence to social environment, to natural environment (forest), collected data in the form of primary data from result of observation and interview, secondary data from PT. Toba Pulp Lestari Tbk. and related institution. The result shown: amount of labour coming from Distriet of Porsea counted 3.988 people; area earnings District of Porsea about Rp. 10.670.014.720 per month; existence of company give positive influence to social environment though there are make-up of gambling action and srewed but still in number which could be tolerated so that do not bring negative influence at society; to natural environment (forest) do not give negative influence because company in this time develop crop with strightened potency of wood mean equal to 30 m3/ha/year.
