Representasi Pesan Budaya Karo dalam Film 3 Nafas Likas

Abstract

This research titled “Representasi Pesan Budaya Karo Dalam Film 3 Nafas Likas”. The purpose of this research was to determine the representation and meaning of cultural messages contained in the 3 Nafas Likas movie by signs that appear in that movie. The movie as a cultural representation not only construct a particular cultural values within itself, but also about how the values are produced and how that value is consumed by people who watch the movie. In this research , researchers used some relevant theory : Constructivist Paradigm, Mass Communication, Semiotics Roland Barthes, Representation, and Intercultural Communication. This research uses a semiotic analysis of the significance of Roland Barthes form two stages (two orders of signification);; denotation and connotation, which is then divided into markers, markers, donotasi level and the level of connotation. denotation and connotation, which is then divided into markers, markers, donotasi level and the level of connotation. The results of this study found that 3 Nafas Likas movie is a movie that raised karo culture as cultural background. Approximately 10 % t of the scenes in the 3 Nafas Likas movie uses Karo language dialogue. Segmentation of this movie is the public who enjoyed the movie about leaders and karonese community. The message that the audience can remember every heroes sacrifice for our country to be used as motivation, reflection in the life of the nation by not forgetting our culture that flourished in the environment
