Abstract

This thesis is submitted in order to qualify a bachelor's degree of Social Welfare, with the title “Social and Economic Review Fisherman in The Village Fowa Gunungsitoli Sub-District Idanoi Gunungsitoli City” Villagers fowa is one village and sub-district gunungsitoli idanoi the majority population with the search for fisherman.It was because the potential fowa have the resources, and the huge and affected by it is on the beach, and the slope of the mountain.One potential resources and coastal sea most economic support for rural communities are fowa marine fisheries.The fisherman village fowa still many of traditional fisherman using available tools and a draw is a boat.The people in this village fowa still far from the wealth of the people at large. This research was done using a method of qualitative research and data collection method with using a method of individual experience of the subject of research which is 4 key informants and 1 of additional informants do the participation of observation and in-depth interviews with fisherman in the village fowa idanoi gunugngsitoli sub-district . Based on research that has been the author of doing , overall economic social conditions can be concluded that fisherman in the village fowa gunungsitoli sub-district idanoi gunungsitoli city is still considered low income people seen from the erratic results of the income at sea .It is also directly related to the arrest of helplessness that sophisticated technology, limited capital to improve productivity , impartial fisherman marketing system and the government less attention to their lives so that fisherman in the village fowa difficult to escape from poverty in the lives of fisherman .
