    Abstract
    Water is one of the natural resources that are very important for human life. In daily life, the use of water covers various fields of mu-lai from washing, cooking, watering, bathing and so on. In the current situation, humans are required to think creatively, not only to research new discoveries, but also to maximize the performance of existing technologies to make it easy for human work in controlling water in water reservoirs. Along with the development of increasingly advanced technology, a water pump is needed that can control whether the indicator is full or not automatically at the water reservoir. This tool will use the ultrasonic sensor HC-SR04 which is used in automatic water pump control and volume monitoring on IoT-based water storage barrels which are designed to be able to detect water level in the storage barrel which will later be continued by sending data to NodeMCU ESP8266, NodeMCU, which is a tool that uses an internet / wifi connection to carry out its duties, this tool has a function like a microcontroller based on the ESP8266 chip. In the Internet of Things project NodeMCU is used as controling and moni-toring applications and there are several I/O pins developed for the development of NodeMCU. Then this NodeMCU will give the IRF540 command which is used as a switch or switch to turn on and off the water pump used with the command that has been given from nodeMCU which has been read the water level by the ultrasonic sensor HC-SR04.
