Abstract

A phenomenon that often occurs at this time is on the involvement of the women as wifes and mothers not only in domestic affairs, but also work outside the household falls within the framework of the economic problems of the family. Where a wife working to meet the needs of an ever increasing in family.This study raised the topic of the involvement of women in the public sector.Based on the above topic, the title of this research is the "Kontribusi Peran Ganda Perempuan Buruh Tani Terhadap Kesejahteraan Keluarga (Studi Kasus Pada Buruh Tani Perempuan di Desa Tanjung Gusta, Kecamatan Sunggal, Kabupaten Deli Serdang)".A descriptive study of the research performed on the peasant woman and the husband of peasants of village women in Tanjung Gusta Sunggal Subdistrict, which is still bound by marriage. This research was conducted to the informants consisting of several criteria, among others: the informant bekrja as peasant women, the informant still bound to perkawaninan, has a husband and running two roles i.e. domestic role and the role of the public. This research uses descriptive research with qualitative approach that purports to describe the things that pleased with the problems examined, namely; to know us contribution from the dual role performed farmworker women against the welfare of the family in the village of Tanjung Gusta. Data collection techniques used through direct observastion, indepth interviews, and the study librarianship that are very relevant topic which are examined. The data already collected, then interpreted, analyzed and evaluated. It can be concluded that peasant women, not only as an extra income earner for the family. In addition, the condition of the economy a household/family is getting better when peasant women join the work falls outside the household (the public).Peasant woman running two roles at once, namely as a homemaker and also worked outside the household (the public) still claimed by the husband to carry out the main tasks and responsibilities well as housewives, so that peasants, women should shoulder the burden of a double over two roles employed.
