The effect of the addition of Poly Aluminum Chloride (PAC) on pH and turbidity of raw water at PDAM Tirtanadu, Tanjung Morawa Drinking Water Management Installation using the jar test method. The sample used was Tanjung Morawa river water with a turbidity of 2.8 and a pH of 6.9. In the sample, poly aluminum chloride (PAC) was added at a dose of 3.0 ppm, 32.5 ppm, 35.0 ppm, 37.5 ppm, 4.0 ppm and 42.5 ppm and then stirred with an agitator at a speed of 140 ppm for 5 minutes. minutes and then reduced the speed to 50 ppm for 10 minutes and then left for 20 minutes until the floc formed will settle. From the analysis results, the optimum dose of PAC is 42.5 ppm with a turbidity of 1.69 NTU and a pH of 6.6. The pH and turbidity values are still suitable for drinking water according to PERMENKES RI No.492/MENKES/Per/IV/ 2010.
