dc.description.abstractBackground Increased intracranial pressure (ICP) in brain tumors has been associated with several neurological conditions such as herniation with an increased risk of irreversible brain damage and eventual death. Early detection and management of increased ICP is very important in determining the functional grade (NANO score) in patients with intracranial tumors. The need for non-invasive ICP monitoring methods is recommended because of the complications that can arise from invasive methods. Examination of the transverse diameter of the eyeball, ONSD, pupil diameter, and funduscopic appearance are non-invasive ICP monitoring methods used in this study. Objectives This study aims to determine the relationship between the transverse diameter of the eyeball, optic nerve sheath diameter, pupil diameter, and fundoscopic appearance with clinical outcomes in patients with intracranial tumors.. Methode This research is descriptive with a correlative analytic design. The study sample consisted of 37 patients with intracranial tumors. The relationship of transverse diameter and Optic Nerve Sheath Diameter with Nano score was tested by Spearman correlation test. The relationship between pupil diameter and fundoscopic appearance with Nano scores was tested with Mann Whitne. Result There are 37 research samples, 18 men and 19 women were obtained with an average age of 53.30±11.23 years. There was no significant relationship between the transverse diameter of OD and OS with NANO scores (p=0.194 and 0.653). There was a significant relationship between ONSD OD and OS with NANO scores (p=0.000 and 0.028). There is a significant relationship between pupil diameter and NANO score (p=0.000). There was a significant relationship between OD and OS pupillary images with the NANO score (p=0.000). Conclusions There was no significant relationship between the transverse diameter of the eyeball and the clinical outcome of patients with intracranial tumors. There were significant relationship between ONSD, pupillary diameter, and fundoscopy with the clinical outcome of patients with intracranial tumors.en_US
