dc.description.abstract | Technological developments will increasingly progress. This can be seen from the
increasingly closeness of internet in the life of society. Internet that actually
serves to connect one user to another user, today is not only used as a means of
chatting or chatting, but also as a place to share information, entertainment
facilities, even as a place to transact trade and purchase. Shopping via the internet
or so-called Online Shopping is currently highly developed in the community.
People who are always connected to the internet can access the online shopping
places that are very much available. In FISIP USU environment itself, online
shopping habits are happening among students. This is not only seen as a
phenomenon but also the tendency of online shopping can lead to consumptive
behavior. With the convenience to access online shopping sites, diversity of goods,
sales promos and also convenience in shopping make students, especially students
of FISIP USU tend to frequent and excessive in online shopping.
This study was conducted with the aim to see how consumptive behavior that
occurs among students FISIP USU and what are the factors of the occurrence of
such consumer behavior. This study uses qualitative methods and data
dikujmpulkan through in-depth interviews with some informants. The results are
then analyzed using Jean Baudrillard's hyper-reality theory and it can be
concluded that this consumptive behavior occurs because of internal and external
factors that affect students. | en_US |
