The spirit of the Year of Independence (TAKARI) which was burned by President Ir.
Soekarno in 1965 had risen again in the context of resistance to the COVID-19 pandemic
which had overturned the welfare of the entire world in this era. The purpose of creating this
final work is to represent and document the phenomena and impacts of the COVID-19
pandemic on people's lives through digital painting. This method of creating works of art uses
three stages, namely; pre-creation, creation, and post-creation, as well as holding an
exhibition of digital painting works as the output of this creation. In the making of digital
painting the author uses hardware devices (Tablet and pen tablet), while in software the
author uses the Procreate application. In this work, it is a description of the author's anxiety
about the Covid-19 Pandemic phenomenon which has resulted in various complex losses to
humans, both physically and psychologically. But behind all these losses, the community was
finally able to find a way out of all the losses. With the creation of this work, it is hoped that it
can become an artifact that provides knowledge and raises public awareness to re-apply the
spirit of independence in everyday life. In representing the phenomenon in the Covid-19
Pandemic Era, the author presents the impact and resistance of society against Covid-19 in 6
sectors in 12 artworks
