Sistem Kebun Plasma dalam Pengembangan Kemandirian Petani Plasma Kelapa Sawit di Kebun Bunut Unit X Sungai Bahar Jambi
Abstract
The partnership pattern smallholding system is a form of development
cooperation and the development of plantations using large estates as a core
guiding the people in the surrounding plantations as plasma in a system of mutual
cooperation, complementary, holistic and continuous.
The presence of PT Nusantara Plantation VI (PTPN VI) in the region
Jambi strategic means, which generally affects provide growth for the region.
Special impact for farmers are going to create a mutually beneficial relationship
of cooperation between the company and the plasma core. Impact on communities
around the plantation area must be affected by the changes and the presence of
PTPN VI and all activities are carried out. The strategic cooperation between the
core and the farmers should be entered into with both to be more robust and able
to compete with the market.
This study bertujan to analyze plasma plantation system in the
development of oil palm smallholders independence, methods of research used
quantitative data collection by random sampling to farmers. Analysis of the data
used is rank correlation or Spearman correlation of the level system.
The results showed there is the influence of a system of peasant
smallholdings with independence. The company provides development and
guidance to farmers through education and training, ranging from ordinances to
plant, fertilize and plant maintenance. Farmers have been able to manage his own
garden without accompanied again by the company. Farmers are already
independent technical, social and cultural independent, financially independent
and self-sufficient group. There are differences between the ability of management
of smallholding farmers at lower secondary level to upper secondary level. Upper secondary education are better able to manage smallholding compared to lower
secondary level.
