| dc.description.abstract | PT. KEDAUNG GROUP ( KEDAUNG
GROUP Ltd.) is a factory or company which is a kind of a big company, and engaged in
glassware industry. It was founded, basically, by the manager’s will to develop his business
had to get profit as much as possible. Besides it is intended to create job vacancy for the
residents around that factory. The existence of PT. Kedaung Group effects on the residents
around, generally it can be observed from the socioeconomic of the local residents,
specifically of the villages in Tanjung Morawa B which improves better. In fact, many of the
residents are employed by PT. Kedaung Group. Some of the residents take the chance of
running business around the factory.
This research is done in Tanjung Morawa B, exactly in the area where PT. Kedaung
Group built. The type of research implemented is descriptive with 76 people as sample in this
research. The technique of collecting data is with literary study and field study, they are
observation and Questionnaire. Then data is arranged in single-tabulation data, which is later
analyzed by describing, explaining, and given comment based on the single tabulated data, so
that we can easily know the answers of problem being researched.
Based on the research, it can be concluded that the existence of Kedaung group
doesn’t give a significant influence. The effect which can be seen causes and economical
change with is a little bit better to the residents around. On thing which needs to be considered
by PT. Kedaung is delivering assistance or help for the prosperity of the residents around the
