| dc.description.abstract | This study aims to determine the motivation in PT. Perusahaan Gas
Negara (Persero), Tbk SBU Distribution Region III North Sumatra, deterine the
work productivity of employees at PT. Perusahaan Gas Negara (Persero), Tbk
SBU Distribution Region III North Sumatra and determine how much the
motivation influences the work productivity of employees at PT. Perusahaan Gas
Negara (Persero), Tbk SBU Distribution Region III North Sumatra.
This research is an associative research with a quantitative approach using
a statistical formula that is managed through the application program SPSS 17.0.
This research’s population is all employees of PT. Perusahaan Gas Negara
(Persero), Tbk SBU Distribution Region III North Sumatra, which totaled 113. By
using Slovin sampling technique, this research obtained a sample of 53
respondents. Data analysis techniques used in this research are simple linear
regression analysis, a statistical test t, product moment correlation coefficient, and
the coefficient determinant.
The results indicate that the motivation of employees at PT. Perusahaan
Gas Negara (Persero), Tbk SBU Distribution Region III North Sumatra is in a
middle category with the highest percentage of 47.2%. Labor productivity in PT.
Perusahaan Gas Negara (Persero), Tbk SBU Distribution Region III North
Sumatra is in a middle category with a percentage of 32.1%. Based on the
correlation of test results, it is obtained the coefficient of 0.830 between
motivational variables (X) with labor productivity (Y) through Pearson correlation
coefficient (r). While based on the coefficient of determination, it is obtained
determination coefficient of 68.89%, which indicates that the motivation variable
affecting employee productivity at PT. Perusahaan Gas Negara (Persero), Tbk
SBU Distribution Region III North Sumatra amounted to 68.89%. Meanwhile, the
rest 31.11% is influenced by other factors beyond the scope of this study. | en_US |
