Kaum Gay di Kota Medan (Studi Kasus Gay pada Mall Center Point Jalan Jawa Kecamatan Medan Timur)

Abstract

Research on Gays in Medan is effected by the more visibility the existence of gays and see the view of the community where most people have a different perception to the existence and the existence of homosexuals. This research aims to find out what was the r eason to choose his way of life as a homosexual and how gay social life patterns. This research is research with the primary data source of the five homseksual and five of the g eneral public. Secondary data sources are derived from documentation and libraries throu gh books, print media and the internet. The technique of data collection by observation, in terviews, documentation and kepustakan. The sampling technique used was purposive sa mpling techniques and data validity using the technique of triangulation of sources. Resea rch on gays this personal Amangboruna proach is needed so that information obtained are accurate. The research resultsshowed that: 1) reasons choose this way of life as homosex uals are sexual needs which is perceived by the homosexuality or gay could only intrigued by their fellowmen, the trauma of romance with the opposite sex that was felt deep enough by men so choose samesex couples in the hope the pain didn't r ecur and experienceless enjoyable sex (sodomy) resulted in prolonged trauma that eventu ally made what has endured as Amangboruna sex experience and continues until Amangb oruna long time. 2) basically all the resource person (general public) assume the same that a homosexual is an individual with an unnatural sexual orientation. The attitude shown towards the homosexual, some are likely to open up and accept his existen ce, there is also less able to accept her existence there is even an entirely cannot accept hi s presence so that the homosexual often get scorn from most of society.
