Pengaruh Penerapan Total Quality Management (TQM) Terhadap Kinerja Manajerial (Studi pada PT. Warna Agung .Jl. Pelita 3 No.B18 Kawasan Industri Medan Star Tanjung Morawa)

Abstract

In the development of today's business world, one of the best ways to face competition is to pay attention to the quality of the company. Not only the quality of the products/services offered, but also the quality of other aspects of the company. No exception for PT. Warna Agung which is currently trying to make a breakthrough market to competitors who already existed in North Sumatra. One of the tools that can be applied by the company in maintaining the overall quality is to implement Total Quality Management (TQM). The purpose of this study was to determine the influence of Total Quality Management (TQM) to managerial performance in PT. Warna Agung Jl. Pelita 3 No. B18 Kawasan Industri Medan Star Tanjung Morawa. This research uses explanatory survey method with the type of associative research and quantitative approach. Data was collected using cross sectional study. The population in this study were employees of PT. Warna Agung Jl. Pelita 3 No. B18, Kawasan Industri Medan Star Tanjung Morawa. The sampling technique used is Non-Probability Sampling with saturated sampling method (Census) and the sample were 30 respondents. Based on the results of simple linear regression analysis then obtained equation Y = 9.906 + 0,608X, means that when there is an increase TQM variable (X) of the unit, the managerial performance variable (Y) will rise by 0,608 one unit. The results of calculation of correlation coefficient obtained a value of 0.865, which means the level of TQM influence on managerial performance at the high category. Calculation of the coefficient of determination obtained value of R Square of 0.748 which means that the variable TQM (X) affect managerial performance (Y) amounted to 74.8% and 25.2% is influenced by other variables that not examined. The results of partial hypothesis testing (t-test) values obtained t-count of 9,107 greater than the value t-table (1,701). So H0 rejected and Ha accepted and can be concluded there is a positive and significant effect from Total Quality Management (X) on Managerial Performance (Y) at PT. Warna Agung Jl. Pelita 3 No. B18 Kawasan Industri Medan Star Tanjung Morawa.
