Pembuatan dan Karakterisasi Filter Pemurnian Hidrogen Berbasis Zeolit dengan Filler Serbuk Cangkang Kerang Darah (Anadara Granosa)

The hydrogen filter based on natural zeolite Pahae with blood clams shells filler
has been able to increase the adsorption of purification hydrogen filter through
electrolysis. The purpose of adding blood clams shells in hydrogen filter based on
zeolite Pahae is to improve mechanical feature and maintain adsorption filter
power. Before hydrogen filter was performed, zeolite activation was carried out
using 6% H2SO4 solution, and the shell mussels were washed to have a neutral
pH. The variation of compositions which was 200 mesh formed in solids, at a
combustion temperature of 7500C, 8000C, 8500C, 9000C and 9500C, was 100%:
0%, 90%: 10%, 80%: 20%, 70%: 30%, and 60%: 40%. The optimum adsorption
rate was at 80%: 20% by 980 ppm, and the porosity was 38%, with mechanical
hardness as 98,65 N/m2. Filter pemurnian hidrogen berbasis zeolit alam pahae dengan filler cangkang
kerang darah telah mampu meningkatkan daya adsorpsi pada filter pemurnian
hidrogen melalui proses elektrolisis. Tujuan penambahan cangkang kerang pada
filter pemurnian hidrogen berbasis zeolit alam pahae untuk meningkatkan sifat
mekanik dan mempertahankan daya adsorpsi filter. Sebelum dilakukan
pencetakan filter pemurnian hidrogen dilakukan aktivasi zeolit dengan
menggunakan larutan H2SO4 6% , dan cangkang kerang darah dicuci hingga
memiliki pH netral. Variasi komposisi kedua campuran yang berukuran 200 mesh
dibentuk dalam padatan, pada suhu pembakaran 7500 C, 8000 C, 8500 C, 9000 C
dan 9500 C yaitu 100% : 0%, 90% : 10%, 80% : 20%, 70% : 30%, dan 60%:40%.
Tingkat adsorpsi yang optimum terdapat pada komposisi 80% : 20% sebesar 980
ppm, dan porositasnya sebesar 38% , dengan kekerasan mekanik sebesar 98,65
N/m2.
