dc.description.abstractThe aims of this research were to analyze the differences in transformational leadership between generation X and generation Y and its effect on power plant company performance. The method of this research used quantitative methods that focus on determining the magnitude of the influence between variables and differences in the two generation groups studied. The number of samples was 50 people in each generation X and Y. Data collection was done by a questionnaire. The research instrument was first tested for validity and reliability. The sample data was also tested for normality test, multicollinearity test, heteroscedasticity test to provide certainty that the data has accuracy in estimation is unbiased and consistent. Data analysis used SPSS includes the F-test, T-test, coefficient of determination test and independent sample T test. The results of F-test analysis showed that in generations X is 26.484 and generations Y is 3.225, where F table is 2.56 so that it can be concluded that each variable charismatic, inspiring motivation, stimulation intellectual, and individual considerations simultaneously affect the company's performance. The results of the T-test of each group in generation X and generation Y were different. In generation X, the inspiring motivation and individual considerations variables partially had a significant and positively effect on company performance, while in generation Y only the charismatic variable partially gave a significant and positively influence on company performance. The results of the coefficient determination test expressed that transformational leadership in generation X contributes 70.2% influence on company performance while transformational leadership in Generation Y contributes 22.3% influence on company performance. The Independent Sample T-Test said that there was a significant difference between transformational leadership in the generation X and generation Y.en_US
