| dc.description.abstract | The news of the corona virus that is endless on social media and mass media can have an influence on society so as to cause fear and interest in the general public. News from the media affects a person's level of awareness, so with a lot of news obtained from the media can increase public awareness. Although many factors are able to have an influence on awareness of 5M in the prevention of coronavirus transmission. This study is a quantitative study with descriptive surveys conducted in Sei Beras Sekta Village. The population in this study was 230 people with a sample taken as many as 70 people. The data collection method is done through online questionnaire filling using Google Form. Daata analysis is done with univariate and bivariate analysis, where the results are presented in the frequency distribution table. The results demonstrate that the awareness of 5M behavior in society is 60% bad And 40% good. Judging from the regression test, sig value is 0.008 < 0.05, so the researchers concluded that there is a meaningful influence between the mass media on 5M consciousness. The intensity of the use of mass media and social media in the community of Sei Beras Sekata Village is fairly high and the intensity of obtaining information about the covid-19 pandemic is also fairly high, explaining that the people of Sei Beras Sekata Village are exposed to a lot of information from social media about the covid-19 pandemic. The results explained that the hypothesis of this study was accepted and there was a significant influence. So this demonstrate the influence of social media and mass media on 5M awareness in the community. With the many exposures of information about the covid-19 pandemic to the people of Sei Beras Sekata Village, the community has the awareness to adhere to health protocols and conduct 5M. | en_US |
