    Anteseden Kinerja Dosen dan Dampaknya terhadap Kompetensi Lulusan Melalui Lingkungan Belajar sebagai Variabel Moderating di Universitas Swasta Kota Medan

    Abstract
    Competition of university graduates in Indonesia is increasing in line with the enactment of ASEAN Economic Community (MEA). In addition, the demands of the workforce on the competence of college graduates are getting higher. Private universities as the institution of higher education are very large in number compared with state universities. This study aims to analize the antecedents of competence of private university graduates in Medan City. Factors studied in the antecedents include: foundation management, university governance, dean leadership, lecturer performance, and learning environment. The number of samples in the study was 576 students representing nine private universities proportionally. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and structural equation modeling (SEM). This study concludes: (1) Foundation management has a positive and significant impact on university governance; (2) The management of the foundation directly has a positive and significant impact on the leadership of the dean; (3) The management of foundation has a positive and significant impact on lecturer's performance; (4) University management has a positive and significant impact on the leadership of the dean; (5) University governance has a positive and significant impact on lecturer's performance; (6) Dean leadership has positive and significant influence on lecturer's performance; (7) The performance of lecturers has a positive and significant impact on the competence of graduates; (8) Foundation management has a positive and significant impact on dean leadership through university governance; (9) Foundation management has a positive and significant impact on lecturer performance through university governance; (10) The foundation's management has a positive and significant impact on the performance of lecturers through the leadership of the dean; (11) University governance has a positive and significant impact on lecturers' performance through the leadership of the dean; (12) The management of the foundation has a positive and significant impact on the competency of graduates through the performance of lecturers; (13) University management has a positive and significant impact on the competency of graduates through the leadership of the dean; (14) Dean leadership does not have a positive and significant impact on graduate competency through lecturer's performance; and (15) The learning environment does not reinforce the influence of lecturers' performance on graduate competency.
     
    Persaingan lulusan Perguruan Tinggi di Indonesia kini semakin ketat sejalan dengan diberlakukannya Masyarakat Ekonomi ASEAN (MEA). Disamping itu, tuntutan dunia kerja atas kompetensi lulusan perguruan tinggi tidak lagi hanya diisi oleh putra-putri Indonesia akan tetapi juga oleh pencari kerja dari Negaranegara ASEAN. Perguruan Tinggi Swasta sebagai lembaga penyelenggara pendidikan tinggi jumlahnya lebih banyak dibandingkan dengan Perguruan Tinggi Negeri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis faktor-faktor anteseden kompetensi lulusan, meliputi manajemen yayasan, tata kelola universitas, kepemimpinan dekan, kinerja dosen, dan lingkungan belajar sebagai variabel moderating. Penelitian ini menggunakan kuesioner terstruktur sebagai alat pengumpulan data. Data yang diperoleh adalah persepsi mahasiswa terhadap variabel yang diteliti. Jumlah sampel dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 576 mahasiswa Fakultas Ekonomi Program Studi Ilmu Manajemen yang mewakili 9 (sembilan) universitas swasta secara proportional. Analisis data yang digunakan untuk mengolah data adalah statistika deskriptif dan Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). Hasil penelitian ini adalah: (1) Manajemen yayasan berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap tata kelola universitas; (2) Manajemen yayasan berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kepemimpinan dekan; (3) Manajemen yayasan berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja dosen; (4) Tata kelola universitas berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kepemimpinan dekan; (5) Tata kelola universitas berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja dosen; (6) Kepemimpinan dekan berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja dosen; (7) Kinerja dosen berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kompetensi lulusan; (8) Manajemen yayasan berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kepemimpinan dekan melalui tata kelola universitas; (9) Manajemen yayasan berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja dosen melalui tata kelola universitas; (10) Manajemen yayasan berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja dosen melalui kepemimpinan dekan; (11) Tata kelola universitas berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja dosen melalui kepemimpinan dekan; (12) Manajemen yayasan berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kompetensi lulusan melalui kinerja dosen; (13) Tata kelola universitas berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kompetensi lulusan melalui kepemimpinan dekan; (14) Kepemimpinan dekan tidak berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kompetensi lulusan melalui kinerja dosen; dan (15) Lingkungan belajar tidak memoderasi pengaruh kinerja dosen terhadap kompetensi lulusan pada universitas swasta di Kota Medan.
