    Abstract
Therefore, it was necessary to develop nano-adsorbents for the remediation of polluted water, this process was carried out by combining Chitosan (C)-Magnetic (M)-activated Carbon (C) materials. The activated carbon used results from the synthesis of nanostructures from banana peel waste, while the magnetic carbon is from Fe3O4. This research involves an experimental method with coprecipitation through several stages: (i) Synthesis of Fe3O4 nanoparticles by the coprecipitation method; preparation of chitosan solution (ii) synthesis of activated carbon nanostructures extracted from banana peel waste by milling (iii) a combination of the three materials (iv) characterization with SEM/EDX, XRD, FTIR, BET, PSA, TGA, and AAS to test the performance of the material against polluted water. The performance results for the concentration (mg/g) of heavy metal ions and their percentage adsorption are Zn (4894,22; 92,43 %), Fe (5849,4; 95,44 %), Mn (5162,4; 89,54 %), and Pb (468,2; 84,38 %) for the most effective nanoadsorbent sample (S4) of CMC material with a ratio of 1:2:2 using the Langmuir model with an optimum time of 210 minutes. KMK nanoadsorbent is effective in remediating water polluted with heavy metals Pb, Mn, Zn, and Fe which meets environmental health quality standards for water media for sanitation hygiene purposes.
