Analisis Pelaksanaan Standar Prosedur Operasional Preoperatif dengan Kepuasan Pasien di RSUD. Dr. R.M. Djoelham Binjai

Abstract

Patients' satisfaction in a hospital highly influences the image of health facilities. The success in satisfaction is the general component of many evaluations and the assessment of health service standard. SPO (Operational Procedure Standard) is used to avoid errors in implementing preoperative action. The research used descriptive correlation method with cross sectional design which was aimed to find out the correlation of the implementation of the preoperative operational procedure standard with patients' satisfaction. The samples were 30 respondents, taken by using total sampling technique from May to June, 2014. The inclusive criteria were adult respondents who would be operated in the conscious condition and could speak Indonesian well. The instruments were standard observation sheets of Preoperative SPO and validated and reliable questionnaires. The result of the research showed that preoperative preparation action with preoperative operational procedure standard which was not implemented were reminding and praying before the operation, the lack of explanation about the use of patients' bracelet identities, and medicines. Based on professional practice, the satisfaction value was good (77%), based on mutual trust it was good (96% ), and based on eradication correlation it was also good (96%). The result of data analysis by using Spearman rho test showed that there was no significant correlation between the action of preoperative operational procedure standard and patients' satisfaction (p = 0.233) at the probability value p= <0.05.
