Retention as an attempt to take care of employee retention is the capacity of a hospital to maintain nurses' potential to be always loyal to the hospital. The development of employee retention program is a crucial component for a hospital. When employee retention is bad, negative employee turnover will increase, and will eventually have an effect on customers, work production standard, and profitability. The objective of the research was to find out the correlation between working climate and nurses' retention at RSU Sembiring, Delitua. The research was an explanatory survey with cross sectional design. There were 95 respondents with the inclusive criteria, nurses who had worked for more than one year, taken by using chi square statistic test. The result of the research showed that there was the correlation between working climate and nurses' retention at the significance level (α) = 0. 005. The variables which had the most dominant correlation with nurses' retention at RSU Sembiring, Delitua were recognition, organizational structure, and commitment. It is recommended that the Nursing Management should realize nursing retention by giving the opportunity for all vocational nurses who had fulfilled the requirements to participate in professional education and communication between nurse practitioners and other nurses and the management should be reactivated by conducting open dialogs.en_US
