Pengaruh Promosi Jabatan dan Pemberian Insentif Terhadap Kinerja Karyawan (Studi Pada Bank Sumut Kantor Cabang Utama Medan)
Abstract
Business activity in the services sector, the higher the growth rate. This
affects competition between similar companies. One of which is visible is the
rapid development of the banking industry. To increase can compete and increase
the company's revenue, the company must maintain the trust ofcustomers by
providing the best service to customers in order to faithfully use the banking
products offered. Provide good service to customers and of very strongly
influenced by the performance of employees and to maintain the employee's
performance remains good then the need for human resourcedevelopment,one of
them by giving promotions and incentives to employees.
The issues discussed in this research is how the effect of promotions
and incentives to employee performance Sumut Bank Main Branch Office Medan
either simultaneously or partially. The purpose of this study was to analyze the
effect of promotions and incentives to employee performance Sumut Bank Main
Branch Office Medan either simultaneously or partially.
This study uses a quantitative approach that aims to determine how
much influence the variable X (promotions and incentives) to variable Y
(performance). The population in this study are employees of the Bank's
operational divisions Sumut Bank Main Branch Office Medan by using a non-
probability sampling techniques. Data were analyzed using validity and reliability
test, the classic assumption test and multiple regression analysis using SPSS 15.0.
These results indicate that the promotion and provision of incentives
significantly influence employee performance together or simultaneously with
thitung> ttable (60.236> 3.11). Partial, promotion has a positive and significant
influence on employee performance with a value of thitung = 3.500 as well as
variable incentives, partially that incentives have a positive and significant
influence on employee performance with a value of t hitung= 5695
