dc.description.abstract | Background and Purpose: Protein C is one of the antieoagulant. Protein C
deficiency may cause a hypercoagulation and low protein intd<e may cause
hypertension , both of them has been assocrafed with stroke. Some previous
sfudies have investigated the association between protein C and protein
intake with stroke and the resulfs were different. The purpose of this study
was to investigate the association between levels of protein C and protein
intake with stroke.
Methods: rhrs cross-sectional study was consrst of 34 acute stroke
participants 32-77 ye'ars old. All parlicipants were test levels of protein C and
dietary protein was assesed with the use of a food-frequency questionnaire to
asses protein intake
Resulfs.' There were no significant corellation between protein c with stroke (
p=0,637,r=0,084) between protein intake with stroke(p=0,64g,r=0,0?1) There
were no significant conelation between and protein c and age (p=0,STS, r =-
0,10), body weight (p=0,850,t=-0,34) , sex (p = 0.216) There was no
significant conelation between protein intake and age (p=0,066, r=-0,077),
body weight (p=0,498,r=-1,20) .There was a significant association with sex (p
=0.01).
Conclusion: There were no significant conelation between protein c and
protein intake with stroke .There was a significant association between protein
intake based on gender | en_US |
