| dc.description.abstract | Broiler chicken farm is an agribusiness business in fowl field farm that
can be found in some region in Indonesia. Pak Lagan's broiler chicken farm is a
commercial chicken farm business that located in Lubuk Sakat, Pekanbaru. This
Pak Lagan's broiler chicken farm has been running for two years, but it's not yet
know clearly about what are its strength, weakness, opportunity, and threat. with
this condition, Pak Lagan's broiler chicken farm will analysis their strength,
weakness, opportunity, and threat to know the development strategy for their
business.
The purpose of this research is to knowPak Lagan's broiler chicken farm
internal factor and external factor to identify the right development strategy for
this business.
The research method that used in this research is descriptive method with
qualitative data. The informan in this research were all parties that involved in
this business. The two obtain data method that used in this research are interview,
observation, and documentation. Analysis data thechnique that used is analysis
SWOT.
The research result showed that Pak Lagan's broiler chicken farm already has
their own development strategy. The development strategy of Pak Lagan's broiler
chicken farm are: a). Utilizing a rapid turnover of capital for long-term and short-term
development. b) Using marketing that definitely in selling the main products that have
been properly maintained. C) Has a strategic location that is easily to access in the
maintenance process. d) Has a location that far away from residential areas to anticipate
the spread of the disease. e) Using the rapid turnover of capital for anticipation of
