Background: Many studies show that low circulating 25(OH)D serum level may increase risk of morbidity and mortality, especially in women and vitamin D deficiency are considered new markers for metabolic disease- Objective: The objective was to identify vitamin D status in women and factors that association with 25(OH)D serum level, such as single nucleotide polymorphism of vitamin D receptor gene (Taql and Bsml), lifestyle, and body fat associated with 25(OH)D serum level in women. Method: This was a cross-sectional study, we include 156 healthy women with no other disease. We investigated by Taql and Esml single nucleotide polymorphism, lifestyle (sunlight exposure, vitamin D intake, and physical activity), and body fat. Blood tests was measurements of 25(OH)D serum level. Results: The mean (tSD) of 25(OH)D serum level was 18.8 t7.0 ng/ml, for 148 subjects categorized in deficiency and insufficiency and 8 subjects categorized in sufficiency. All the subjects have heterozygote (TC for Taql and AG for Bsml). All subjects had lower sun exposure, vitamin D intake, and physical activity. The body fat level was 31.9t5.4, logistic regression showed association in body fat and vitamin D intake with 25(OH)D serum level. Conclusions: The results indicate that vitamin D deficiency can be found in women, especially with unbalance lifestyle and higher body fat. lt also showed polimorphism in vitamin D receptor geneen_US
