The success of a company is greatly influenced by the performance of each
employee, so the company urgently needs quality human resources. Many factors
can affect employee performance, some of which are organizational commitment
and perceived organizational support. Both are very important in improving
employee performance, because if the employee has an organizational
commitment in himself automatically he will be responsible for his duties as well
as loyal to the company.
This study aims to determine the influence of organizational commitment
and perceived organizational support on employee performance at PT BPR Pijer
Podi Kekelengen Kantor Cabang Simpang Selayang Medan. The effect of
organizational commitment and perceived organizational support will be
analyzed partially and simultaneously
The form of research used is a quantitative research method with an
associative approach involving 37 respondents as a research sample. The
sampling technique in this study was saturated sampling. The data collection
technique used in this study was primary data obtained through the distribution of
questionnaires using a likert scale that was distributed directly to respondents.
The data analysis techniques used are validity and reliability instrument tests,
classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression analysis and hypothesis tests
using SPSS
The results showed that the variables of organizational commitment and
the variable of perceived organizational support had a positive and significant
effect on employee performance at PT BPR Pijer Podi Kekelengen Kantor Cabang
Simpang Selayang Medan, either partially or simultaneously. Based on the results
of the determination test obtained a correlation coefficient value of 0.685
(68.5%), based on these results, the relationship between organizational
commitment and perceived organizational support to employee performance is
quite strong. The R Square value of 0.469 (46.9%) can be explained by the
variables of organizational commitment and perceived organizational support
while the remaining 53.1% was influenced by other variables that were not
studied in this study.
