    Penentuan Kadar MgSO4 pada Pupuk Kieserite secara Uji Kualitatif dan Uji Kuantitatif di Balai Pengujian dan Identifikasi Barang Tipe B Medan-Belawan

    Abstract
    The determination of MgSO4 levels in kieserite fertilizer qualitatively and quantitatively has been done from natural kieserite fertilizer, kieserite preparation, esta kieserite, and pure kieserite. Qualitative analysis with solubility test, CO3 test, Cl- test and FTIR test. The results of solubility test with water solvent are only the pure sample of kieserite can dissolve perfectly whereas with chloroform solvent there is no sample can be dissolved. CO3 test only natural kieserite and processed kieserite containing CO3, Cl- test only natural kieserite and esta kieserite containing Cl-. In FTIR analysis all positive samples containing Mg. Quantitative analysis done by testing the water content and NaCl content. Quantitative analysis of water content in natural kieserite is 14.6570%; processed kieserite 0.8500%; esta kieserite 0,0165%; pure kieserite 35,7630%. Test of NaCl content in natural kieserite was 13,5611%; processed kieserite 20,6368%; esta kieserite 7,3998%; whereas pure kieserite does not contain NaCl. From the result of data analysis description analysis above obtained, the water content of the processed kieserite and esta kieserite still not exceed the quality requirement of iodized consumption salt in accordance with SNI 3556: 2010 where the maximum water content requirement is 7 while the water content in the natural kieserite and pure kieserite exceed the quality requirements of iodine salt consumption in accordance with SNI 3556: 2010.
     
    Penentuan kadar MgSO4 pada pupuk kieserite secara kualitatif dan kuantitatif telah dilakukan dari sampel pupuk kieserite alam, kieserite olahan, esta kieserite, dan kieserite murni. Analisa kualitatif dengan uji kelarutan, uji CO3, uji Cl- dan uji FTIR. Hasil uji kelarutan dengan pelarut air hanya sampel kieserite murni yang larut dengan sempurna sedangkan dengan pelarut kloroform tidak ada sampel yang larut. Uji CO3 hanya kieserite alam dan kieserite olahan yang mengandung CO3 , uji Cl- hanya kieserite alam dan estakieserite yang mengandungCl- . Pada analisa FTIR semua sampel positif mengandung Mg. Analisa kuantitatif dilakukan dengan menguji kadar air dan kadar NaCl. Analisa kuantitatif kadar air pada kieserite alam terdapat 14,6570%; kieserite olahan 0,8500% ; esta kieserite 0,0165% ; kieserite murni 35,7630%. Uji kadar NaCl pada kieserite alam terdapat 13,5611% ; kieserite olahan 20,6368% ; esta kieserite 7,3998% ; sedangkan pada kieserite murni tidak mengandung NaCl. Dari uraian data hasil analisis diatas didapatkan kadar air pada kieserite olahan dan esta kieserite masih belum melebihi syarat mutu garam konsumsi beryodium yang sesuai dengan SNI 3556:2010 dimana persyaratan kadar air maksimal 7 sedangkan kadar air pada kieserite alam dan kieserite murni melebihi syarat mutu garam konsumsi beryodium yang sesuai dengan SNI 3556:2010.
