Gambaran Kecemasan Akademik pada Mahasiswa Baru di Fakultas Psikologi Universitas Sumatera Utara Selama Masa Pandemic Covid-19

Abstract

This study aims to determine the description of academic anxiety in new students at the Psychology Faculty of the University of North Sumatra during the Covid-19 pandemic. The subjects used in this study were new students from the class of 2021 at the psychology faculty of the University of North Sumatra during the Covid-19 pandemic, totaling 153 people. This study uses a descriptive quantitative method, the data collection method used is a convienience sampling technique by distributing it via Google-form, and using a Likert scale as the data collection method. The analytical method used is descriptive statistics. The descriptions were made by gender, class, and category of academic anxiety. The results of the research obtained were that new students from the class of 2021 at the Psychology Faculty of the University of North Sumatra experienced academic anxiety in the moderate category.
