Abstract

The rivalry of business world nowadays require the company to attempt increasing consumer quantities with faster service and cheaper cost than their competitor. One way for create it can be with integrating information system. Increasing efficiency from information system to support the achievement of goals and help the management to take a decision of organization in the future. The objective of this research is to know description and effectiveness of SAP (System Application Priduct) R/3 Application to accounting information in PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia, Tbk. Divisi Regional I sumatera. In this writing, descriptive method is used. The type of data was primary and secondary data. The technique of data analysis used was descriptive method by collecting, processing, and describing object of research based on actual facts as they are. The result, indicated that, SAP (System Application Product) R/3 implemented in organization to accounting information has indicated effective. SAP (System Application Product) R/3 effectiveness implemented in organization to accounting information has indicated from financial reporting. The monthly, annual reporting and financial condition reporting (KKP) and financial report flow chart related to SAP R/3 have been sufficient to be used to evaluated the implementation of SAP R/3 effectiveness.
