dc.description.abstractA study on Dermatoglyphics pattern on Obesity of Medanensse was conducted in University of Sumatera Utara from October 2008 to January 2009. The purpose of the study was to study the relationship between those are normal and obesity. The subjects 25 families of obesity in which 25 person of that family were taken for study. A 25 person of normal were taken as control. The results showed that 63.76% were loop, 38% were whorl, and 2.59% were arch. Respectively the different between control and obesity can showed that the total ridge count where in the families of obesity are 11.204.6, one of family of obesity 3604 and and total ridge count in the control 3120. Dankmeijer’s index of normal and Furuhata as well was higher than that of the obesity. However Cummins & Midlo’s index shared similar value.en_US
