dc.description.abstractThe research of “Diversity Of Macroalgae On Coral Reef Waters of The Island Ungge Central Tapanuli Regency” has been done. The objectives of this research were to know the diversity of macroalgae and the correlation between physical chemical factors and the diversity of macroalgae. The research was done by using Kuadratic Transect Methode and by determining the 3 research stations in the coral reef at a depth. The sampling was done 5 times on each research station. The research found 3 kinds of macroalgae which consist of 4 classes, 5 families and 7 species. The amound of the highest density 17,8 ind/m² was found on the station 1 and the lowest 6,2 ind/m² was found on the station 3. The highest diversity index 1,57 was at station 1 and lowest 1,05 was at station 3. The highest uniformity index 0,97 was at station 3 and the lowest 0,87 was at station 1. The correlation analysis result shows that penetration of light, Potential of Hydrogen, dissolved oxygen, salinity, nitrate strongly correlate to the macroalgae diversity index (H’).en_US
