    Perbandingan Laju Pertumbuhan Populasi (B. Plicatilis ) setelah Diberikan Penambahan Makanan pada Media Perlakuan

    Abstract
    A study of “The Comparison Growth Rate of Brachionus plicatilis after Gave Food in a treatment Medium” has been conducted in Maret 2009. The research was carried out at Animal Sistematic Laboratorium at Biology Department, Mathematic and Natural Science Faculty, North Sumatera University. The research used Non Factorial Complete Randomized Design with 4 treatments medium, that is medium of M0 consists of 200 mg/2l chicken manure (kontrol), medium M1 consist of 200 mg/2l chicken manure + 4 mg/l TSP + 4 mg/2l Urea, medium of M2 consist of 200 mg/2l chicken manure + 4 mg/l TSP + 4,5 mg/2l Urea and medium of M3 consist of 200 mg/2l chicken manure + 4 mg/l TSP + 5 mg/2l Urea and 6 replications which forth time for first observation and fourth times for observation after gave food at eigth day. The result indicated differences growt rate of Brachionus plicatilis population after gave food. Highest growth of Brachionus plicatilis population was found at first observation, second day until fourth day. The best growth of Brachionus plicatilis population was found in M2 medium with number 5,836 ind. x 2 x 10-3 x day-1. Followed by M3 medium with number 5,614 ind. x 2 x 10-3 x day-1and then M1 medium with number 5,509 ind. x 2 x 10-3 x day-1. But the worst growth rate was found in M0 medium with number 3,969 ind. x 2 x 10-3 x day-1. Base on statiscal analysis result showed that culture medium was highly significant to average of growth rate between each treatment medium.
