Komposisi dan Distribusi Cacing Tanah di Kawasan Perkebunan Kelapa Sawit Pt. Moeis dan di Perkebunan Rakyat Desa Simodong Kecamatan Sei Suka Kabupaten Batu Bara

Abstract

The composition and distribution of earthworm in PT. Moeis Estate and Simodong Estate Sei Suka District Batu Bara has been investigated February 2009. Sampling area was determinated by using Purposive Random Sampling method and sampling was collected using square method of 30 cm x 30 cm x 20 cm in size with is 25 replication for location.

The results of research showed that on location I found 4 species, they are: Pontoscolex corethrurus, Peryonix excavatus, Megascolex cempii dan Pheretima posthuma. Location II it was 4 species, they are: Pontoscolex corethrurus, Drawida sp, Peryonix excavatus, dan Pheretima posthuma. The highest population density found ini location presented by Pontoscolex corethrurus with the number for 20,89 organism/m2 . While the highest existence frequency with the number 60,00%. There are 3 species of earthworm that alive better in each location, they Pontoscolex corethrurus, Peryonix excavatus dan Drawida sp. To assess the index morista ( distribution) >1 and < 1 in each location pertained by in groups and regular distribution. The similarities index of earthworm found between location I and location II with the number 75,00%.
