Deteksi Protein C-myc pada Jaringan Kelenjar Susu Mencit (Mus musculus L.) dengan Metode Imunohistokimia

Abstract

C-myc protein is a protein that encoded by the c-myc gene that serves as transcription and replication factor of the cells in the cell cycle. This study aims to detect the c-myc protein expression in mammary gland and ovary tissue of mice (Mus musculus L.). Four female mice are dissected and their mammary glands and ovary was taken, they are made as slide preparations and performed immunohistochemistry methods. The results showed that the c-myc protein expressed in adipocyte and tubules cell on mammary gland tissue whereas in the ovary expressed in theca cells, granulose cells and folicular liquid. The level of expression in mammary gland when it compared to c-myc expression in ovarian tissue is higher with a score of 2.83 (high expression), and in the ovary is 2.08 (medium expression).
