| dc.description.abstract | The research of “Percent Cover of Life Coral Reef in the West of Rubiah
Island, Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam” was investigated on May 2009. The aimed of this
research were to investigated the value of percent cover of life coral and its relation
with the value of physic and chemical factors of water. This research is done by
Purpossive Random Sampling Method which is determined on 2 stations and depend
on activities in each sampling locations. This research using ”Life Intercept
Transect” where each stasion within 3 transects in the west of Rubiah. The research
showed that percent cover of life coral reef in the west of Rubiah Island including in
to almost good with 33,55 %. The highest value with 50,82% had found in station 1
(control) and station 2 (activity) percent cover had found with 16,28 %. There are
kinds of growth of coral reef had found, within Acropora as encrusting, submassive,
tabulate, digitate and Non-Acropora as encrusting, foliose, massive and submassive.
Corelation analys showed that light penetration, light intensity, pH and BOD5 showed
strong corelation with the percent cover of life coral reef. | en_US |
