The research with the title “Study of Echinodermata Diversity At The Oceanik Of
Rubiah Island Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam” have been done at May 2009. This
research is done with the method of Purpossive Random Sampling that is determine 4
research stasiun of pursuant to difference of society activity that goes on around this
oceanik. Echinodermata survey done at the transect that sized 4 x 50 metres by 3
restating times rill each research stasion. This research target is to see the diversity of
Echinodermata and the relation to percent cover of coral reef. From result identify to
the Echinodermata obtained in 4 class, 5 ordo, 7 set of family, 11 genus and 13
species. The highest abundance and relative abundance is obtained at Diadema sp that
is 0,299 ind./m2 and 41,134%. The lowest abundance and relative abundance at
Culcita sp, Actinopyga lecanora, Holothuria edulis and Protoreaster nodosus that is
0,005 ind/m2
, 0,709% at each stasiun. The highest diversity index are at stasiun 2 that
is 1,856 while the lowest are at stasiun 4 that is 1,720. Highest similarity index there
are at station 3 that is 0,773 while the lowest of similarity index there are at 4 that is
0,692. The highest percent cover of coral reef are at stasiun 2 that is 73,10% (good
cathegory) and the lowest are at stasiun 4 that is 16,28% (bad cathegory).
