dc.description.abstractThis research aims to determine the types of parasites which found in Mujair’s gills and mujair’s intestines are obtain at swamps and ponds of Paluh Merbau Percut Sei Tuan and to determine the prevalence of these parasites. The research method was carried out with the mouth insang methods for observation gills, whereas for the intestinal parasites is done by observing the contents and intestinal walls of Mujair with a microscope. The Mujair’s intestine are obtain at swamps and ponds of Paluh Merbau Percut Sei Tuan wasn’t found endoparasites. In Mujair’s gills at Ponds of Paluh Merbau Percut Sei Tuan, of the 10 samples examined, there are 6 of mujairs infected with parasites, that is Dactylogyrus sp with the prevalence 60%. Whereas in mujair’s gills at swamp of Paluh Merbau, of the 10 samples examined, all of them infected with parasites, such as Caligus sp with the prevalence 80%, Dactylogyrus sp 40% and Trichodina sp 70%.en_US
