dc.description.abstractOne of the analysis parameters that was decisive to receive high-quality concentrate latex was the pH value and the Volatile Fatty Acid (VFA). The pH value and the Volatile Fatty Acid (VFA) really influence the quality latex. The pH Value in range alkaly (pH 10.20-10.50) caused the Volatile Fatty Acid (VFA) low increasing so as concentrate latex that was produced had the good quality.If the value of the pH in range acid (<10.10) the Volatile Fatty Acid will increase high and caused the stability of latex decreasing so reducing the quality of latex. The observation of the pH value and the Volatile Fatty Acid have done with titration method using Ba (OH) 2 0,005 M as titrant and Brom Timol Blue 0,5% as indicator. Results of observation showed that in the pH 10.18 were received by the value VFA = 0.038; in the pH 10.16 value of VFA = 0.044; the pH 10.15 value of VFA = 0.047; the pH 10.14 value of VFA = 0.048; the pH 10.12 value of VFA = 0.051 and in the pH 10.07 were received by the value VFA = 0.067. This showed that concentrate latex filled standard that was determined by the National Indonesian Standard.en_US
