Penentuan Kekeruhan pada Air Reservoir di PDAM Tirtanadi Instalasi Pengolahan Air Sunggal Medan Metode Turbidimetri

Abstract

Turbidity define the water optic determined based on amount of lihgts absorbed by materials in water. Turbidity caused by organic and inorganic materials which suspended and solved (such as mud and smooth sand), also organic and inorganic materials which in form of plankton and other microorganism. In this case, PDAM Tirtanadi Water Processing Installation in Sunggal Medan analyze the turbidity on reservoir water using Turbidimetry method. Effort to degrade the turbidity done by pouring some chemical substance with certain kinds that called floculant. Value of turbidity based on Keputusan Menteri Kesehatan RI No : 907/MENKES/VII/2002 is 5 NTU, which this determination value show that the turbidity on reservoir water still away under water quality standard that certified so that the water that analyzed by PDAM Tirtanadi Water Processing Installation in Sunggal Medan still in good condition and deserve to consumed by people
