Studi Keanekaragaman Plankton di Aliran Sungai Lau Sitelu Desa Namorambe Kabupaten Deli Serdang

Abstract

This research have been conducted in Juli 2008. Sampling pointed by using "Purposive Random sampling". Samples were collected from four station. Every station is pointed in five plots. Sample identification was held in Laboratory of Ecology, Departement of Biology, faculty of Mathematics and Natural Science, North Sumatera University.

The result showed that 45 genera of plankton which category into 8 class of fitoplankton devided by Bacillariophyceae, Chlorophyceae. Cryptophyceae, Chrysophyceae, Xanthophyceae, Dinophyceae, Mastigophora, Myxophyceae, and 5 classes of zooplankton devided by: Ciliata, Coleoptera, Copepoda, Filosa, Lobosa, Turbellaria. The total higest plankton density was showed 3542,742 Ind/L the first station and the lowest showed 1306,08 Ind/L in the three station. The higest index of diversity found in the four station with the number 2,71, and the lowest found in the one station with the number 1,89. The higest index of equitability found in the three and four station with the number 0,88 and the lowest found in the first station with the number 0,66. Analysis of correlation with pearson test showed that: temperature, pH, have the real effect to diversity of plankton.
