Persen Tutupan (Percent Cover) Terumbu Karang Hidup di Bagian Timur Perairan Pulau Rubiah Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam

Abstract

Research about “Percent Cover of Life Coral Reef in the East of Rubiah Island, Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam province” had investigated on May 2009. This research was done with the Purpossive Random Sampling method, that is determine two research station of pursuant to difference of society activity. Intake Sampel by 3 restarting times rill each research station. This research target is to see percent cover of living coral reef and the correlation between chemical physical factor with the percent cover of living coral reef. Research result earning difference ot life coral reef’s percent cover, in which at station I (control area) percent cover had found 73,10 %. Station II (activity area) percent cover had found 59,68%. Average result of coral reef’s percent cover had found 66,39% and including into good category. It was found 10 forms of living coral reef. The lifeform domination in the research station is coral massive. Correlation analysis showed that temperature, light penetration, light intensity, salinity, pH, DO, saturation of oxygen and deepness own positive correlation with percent cover of life coral reef, while BOD5 own negative correlation with percent cover of life coral reef. Corelation between percent cover of life coral reef and chemical physical factor value range from strong corelation and enough correlation.
