dc.description.abstract | Bubulcus ibis is one of the birds that lives in to ponds area of Tanjung Rejo by utilizing the wetlands in taking foods, as long as the time, the ponds now are filled by the fishings, so that the existence and the breeding of them become threaten. Thus, this research concern in breeding behavior of Bubulcus ibis in Central Mangrove of Tanjung Rejo village, Percut Sei Tuan District, Deli Serdang, North Sumatra on March until May 2015. This research uses the Focal Animal Sampling. The Bubulcus ibis breeding behavior consists of pre-breeding behavior, breeding and post-breeding. Pre-breeding behavior includes the changes in fur color, inviting couples and the fertilization. The breeding behavior includes incubates, maintains and feeds the babies and learns them to fly. The post breeding behaviors includes leaves the nest and changes in fur color. | en_US |
