Noise is undesired sound which can affect and threaten one’s health. Objective of this
study is to obtain histopathological image of Rattus novergicus L. stomach under
effect of noises. This research was experimental design as Complete Randomized
Design with four treatment groups and six replications. The four treatment groups
were designated as control group (P0, less than 20dB), group one (P1, 25-50 dB),
group two (P2, 55-80 dB), and group three (85-110dB) with noise given within eight
hours daily for seven days continuously. Histology preparation was made using
paraffin method and Eosin-Hematoxylin staining. The results of stomach
morphological observation showed a color change but not for stomach consistency.
The results of body mass observation showed that there was a significant differences
(P<0,05) between P0 and P2 and between P2 and P3 while stomach weight
observation didn’t give any significal differences (P<0,05). Histological image of
stomach resulted in gastric ulcer or gastritis with serious erosion degree was found
significantly different between P1 and P2.
