dc.description.abstract | Pethidine is narcotic analgesic drug that works on the central nervous system that
is center of the coordination and behavior. This Research aims to determine the
effect of petidhine on psycomotoric and cognitive functionsof anxious mice (Mus
musculus L.) using IntelliCage system. The reasearch has been conducted from
May to September 2015. The variable used to determine the behavior were
duration and the number of visit, the duration and number of nosepoke, the
duration and number of lick. The sample used were male miceweighting (25-30
grams) with a total of 12 mice. Mice were deprived for 24 hours and observed for
6 hours with provision of air-puff as anxious stimulation. The provision of LED
is used to form a tendency to move at every corner of IntelliCage. Pethidine
testing was done by dividing the 12 mice into 3 groups: blank control, saline
control, petidhine treatment. Using One Way ANOVA test, the group of petidin
had showed an increase in psychomotoric function in mice based on duration of
visit while it decreased the psychomotoric fuction based on number of visit,
number of nosepoke and number of lick. Pethidine also affected on cognitive
function of mice which was showen by changing in tendency to move at every
corner of IntelliCage. | en_US |
